True Bypass Mods:

More info about true bypass and the difference between each pedal's switching system.

We offer a variety of methods for achieving true bypass which vary by pedal. Some pedals have a good enough bypass that converting to true bypass is not necessary, but the main culprits for tone sucking are vintage pedals or any pedal that uses a mechanical stomp switch and is not true bypass. This includes most vintage effects, many MXR pedals, and many wah pedals to name a few examples. True bypass on pedals with electronic bypass can be achieved by either drilling/mounting a physical stompswitch on it or by utilizing a relay switching system that leaves the pedal cosmetically unchanged. The true bypass relay system that we use temporarily mutes the signal when switching to prevent an audible pop that sometimes occurs.
