MXR Vintage Ten Band Equalizer

The MXR Ten Band Graphic Equalizer still remains popular decades after its release. A unique feature of this pedal is that the power rails are ±15V (that's 30V total) which means it operates at nearly twice the voltage of the current MXR M-108 equalizer.

Our DC conversion modification removes the AC power cord and replaces it with an 18V DC jack designed to work with the Dunlop ECB-04 18V power supply (or similar). This modification makes the pedal easier to use with modern pedalboard setups as most pedal power supplies will have 18V outputs or allow you to run two outputs in series to provide 18V. This modification also replaces the aging filter capacitors to extend the life of the pedal.

Our Overhaul modification takes the circuit and upgrades all six op-amps and specific tantalum capacitors to reduce noise and improve clarity. The stock op-amps are the 4558 chips which are famous for being the source of the tone in an Ibanez Tubescreamer. While the 4558 may sound great for overdrive they are terrible for hi-fi applications. The six op-amps in the pedal are replaced with the highest quality Burr-Brown ICs. Key audio capacitors are replaced with audio grade electrolytic capacitors where necessary.
